• European mixed team badminton champs: Denmark, Ireland, England in quarters

    Leuven: Top seeds and tournament favorites Denmark defeated Poland 5-0 in a tie that was held earlier on Thursday, but they had to fight until the very end to cruise past Netherlands in the evening.

    In the tie against Netherlands, world number two men's singles Jan Ø.   • Ouseph reaches Swiss Open last eight (pic)

    Hounslow’s Rajiv Ouseph brushed aside Dutchman Eric Pang to reach the men’s singles quarter-finals at the Swiss Open.

    Ouseph, the number four seed, will face eighth seed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark after beating Pang 21-13 21-15.Rajiv Ouseph

    Ouseph had previously knocked out China’s Huan Gao to reach the third round in Basel, where he beat Swiss player Lukas Nussbaumer in the opening round.
