Taufik sees early exit thanks to Anup

PETALING JAYA: It was a surprise exit for Indonesian star player Taufik Hidayat when he went down to India's Anup Sridhar, 21-14, 24-26, 22-20, in the World Badminton Championships at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil this evening.

Malaysian Wong Mew Choo did well in beating Russia's Ekaterina Ananina, 21-14, 22-20 in the women's singles. 

While in the women's doubles, Malaysians Lim Pek Siah-Joanne Quay Swee Ling were beaten by L. Frier Kristiansen-K. Rytter Juhl of Denmark, 10-21, 21-13, 21-17.
