KUALA LUMPUR -- China's top male badminton player Lin Dan lost to Park Sung Hwan of South Korea in the men's singles second round of the Malaysia Open on Thursday.

Park overcame Lin in their first set 21-14 and led in the second set until 10-5. Lin, the world's top seeding shuttler, once tried to bridge the gap by launching fierce counterattacks and managed to tie with Park 12-all.
