Amsterdam: After a lengthy eight-hour hearing on Saturday, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) three-member panel have not yet reached a decision on Lee Chong Wei’s hearing.
According to some Malaysian officials at Amsterdam, a verdict is expected within three weeks.
However, Lee Chong Wei’s lawyer Mike Morgan refused to speculate on when BWF will make the announcement.
“I am not going to try to estimate when they are going to make a decision, I am sure they will be as quick as they can do it,” said Mike Morgan.
Meanwhile, Lee Chong Wei shared a sense of relief with others after the hearing.
“Finally, we are done with the hearing. Now we just need to wait for the result,” said Chong Wei.
“I know a lot of people are waiting for my result today, I received a lot of phone calls, and my fans have been messaging me non-stop on Facebook, I would like to thank all of them for their support,” added Chong Wei.
Lee Chong Wei will resume training while waiting for the decision from BWF.
