Korea Open: PBSI to decide Sudirman Cup team early February

JAKARTA (Antara): The Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) said Tuesday it would decide the main team for the world mixed team championship Sudirman Cup early February.

"Our initial schedule to set up the main team is actually this month, but the coaches are given more time to decide the main team until early February after Korea Open," Head of PBSI development affairs Lius Pongoh was quoted by Antara as saying.

Last October, PBSI has named 21 shuttlers to be further selected as the main team for Sudirman Cup.

The players were men's single players Taufik Hidayat, Sony Dwi Kuncoro, Simon Santoso, women's single shuttlers Adrianti Firdasari, Fransisca Ratnasari, men's double pairs Luluk Hadiyanto and Alvent Yulianto, Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan,Hendra AG and Joko Riyadi, women's double duos Jo Novita and Greysia Polii, Lita Nurlita and Nathalia Poluakan, Rani Mundiasti and Endang Nursugianti, and mixed double duets Nova Widianto and Lilyana Natsir, Flandy Limpele and Vita Marissa.

Sudirman Cup will be held in Glasgow, Scotland in June.(***)
