Copenhagen: It's been almost a month after losing to Chris Adcock-Gabrielle Adcock 14-21, 16-28 in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games mixed team event final partnering Chan Peng Soon. On Tuesday, Lai Pei Jing and her current partner Tan Aik Quan fell short in their revenge against the same England couple.

Lai Pei Jing-Tan Aik Quan got off to a good start in the opening game by leading 8-1 at one point. However, the England couple was able to get their act together soon enough, changing their strategy to attack Aik Quan at the baseline. After the adjustment, the Adcock pair managed to roar back from their sluggish start to level the score at 9-9 and never look back.

"We had a good start in the first set, but we just couldn't finish it," said Pei Jing.
"I wanted to defeat them so badly, but we did not have enough experience on how to fight through a tough match," added Pei Jing.

"We need to add more strategies to our game plan to enhance our own strengths and exploit our opponent's weaknesses, we hope to get better at the Indonesian Open Grand Prix Gold next month." said the disappointed Pei Jing.
The Adcocks were grateful that could prevail against the Malaysian.
“We didn’t play the plan we wanted to and we were very disappointed that we let them get that far ahead early on but we were confident we could catch it back if we played our style,” said Gabby Adcock
