Kuala Lumpur: National Sports Institute (NSI) promised to provide the best treatment plan and care to the world number one Lee Chong Wei, to ensure he could return on time for the World Championships in Copenhagen in August and Incheon Asian Games in September.
Lee Chong Wei decided to withdraw from Commonwealth Games on Friday due to an aggravating thigh injury.
“Upon realizing the serious nature of Chong Wei’s injury, NSI is giving him the best possible treatment,” said NSI’s chief operating officer Datuk Dr. Ramlan Aziz.
Dr. Aziz is confident that the superb rehab and the work that NSI put into Chong Wei’s rehabilitation could help him returning to play quickly.
“While Chong Wei is going through the rehab process, we would also make sure he still maintaining his extreme fitness level.”
