Kuala Lumpur: After Muar City were found for a failure to comply with Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) ranking when fielding Malaysian mixed doubles expert Chan Peng Soon in their lineup, Purple League has imposed a penalty to vacate 17 wins that played by Chan Peng Soon.  Reversely, Muar City’s opponents were rewarded 3-0 win on those 17 matches.Muar City still the number 1 team in Purple League after they were stripped from their 17 victories (photo: Muar City FB)

London: Badminton England has reaffirmed its commitment to providing more opportunities for people to play badminton than ever before following the release of Sport England’s Active People Survey results today.

The Active People Survey 8 results for the period of October 2013 to October 2014 reveal that the number of 14-25 year olds who play badminton regularly has increased by 19% and now exceeds 200,000 for the first time.Badminton England is doing a good job of promoting badminton among youngsters in UK.
