Singapore: World No. 1 men's singles shuttler Chen Long of China was sent packing by Hong Kong's Angus Ng Ka Long on Friday.

Chen's hope of capturing his first ever Singapore Open title fizzled out as he sank to a 14-21, 18-21 defeat against the World No. 14 Angus Ng. Singapore: Two time Olympic champion Lin Dan of China was near flawless as he marched into the quarter-finals of the Singapore Open on Thursday with a straight-sets victory over Indonesia’s Christie Jonatan.

The 19-year-old Jonatan offered little resistance to Lin, went down to the Chinese badminton superstar 13-21 in the first set.
