Dongguan: Malaysia were hoping that history would repeat itself in the Sudirman Cup quarter-finals after they stunned Korea 3-2 in their first tie in Group 1D four days ago. However, Malaysia came up just short on Thursday with a 1-3 loss to three-time champions Korea.Despite loss of Malaysia, Lee Chong Wei has made a brilliant comeback at the 2015 Sudirman Cup.

Dongguan: Tournament favorites China faced little challenge against Thailand on Tuesday by winning 5-0 to enter the quarter-finals at the Sudirman Cup.

London Olympic champion Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng won the opening men's doubles over Bodin Issara/Pakkawat Vilailak, 14-21, 21-14, 21-19.So happy to see Cai Yun and Fu Haifeng (left) playing side-by-side again.
