Colombo: Malaysia's former world No. 1 men's doubles Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boon Heong turned the Sri Lanka International Challenge final into a grand occasion for themselves on Saturday, beating their younger compatriots Chooi Kah Ming/Ow Yao Han 21-19, 21-17 to finally ended a 3 years title drought in Open tournaments. The last time Koo Kien Keat & Tan Boon Heong won a championship together was in the 2012 Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold, in which they've also defeated Chooi Kah Ming/Ow Yao Han 21-15, 21-19 in the final.Congratulations to Tan Boon Heong (left, black shirt) and Koo Kien Keat, keep up the amazing work! Jakarta: In a day full of upsets at the BCA Indonesia Open on Saturday, Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap who defeated world number one Chen Long in the quarterfinals on Friday, lost 21-12 17-21 19-21 in a draining battle to eighth seed Kento Momota which lasted an hour and 11 minutes. The last time Kashyap and Momota played each other was two years ago, and the Japanese had emerged triumphant in their previous encounter as well.Jan Jorgensen on course to defend Indonesia Open crown.
