BAM launch player exchange program with Denmark

Kuala Lumpur: The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have devised a six-week shuttler exchange program with Denmark aimed to provide numerous opportunities to facilitate, to  guide, and to develop badminton players from both countries.In addition to Denmark, Morten Frost should also design an exchange program with shuttlers and coaches from China.

Ho Chi Minh City: Tommy Sugiarto earned a big boost of momentum with a 21-14, 21-19 victory over unseeded compatriot Ginting Anthony on Saturday at the men's singles semi-finals at Vietnam Open.

Sugiarto raced to 17-6 in the opening set before he eased past Anthony 21-14 to claim the first set. However, 18-year-old Ginting Anthony provided stiffer resistance in the second set, battled competitively for each and every single point to level the score at 19-19. Sugiarto held his nerve and kept his cool, reeling off the next two points to clinch the second set with 21-19. Kolkata: Double World Championships bronze medallist PV Sindhu registered one of the biggest wins of her career when she ousted London Olympics champion Li Xuerui of China to enter the quarterfinal in this year's edition at Jakarta.

The 20-year-old Indian's dream run, however, ended in the quarterfinals after going down to Korea's Sung Ji Hyun.PV Sindhu is the young and rising star of Indian badminton.
